Yesterday Tracie, Whitney and I went to some pretty awesome places and took pictures. It was kind of a drizzly day out there but it wasn't too rainy which was nice. We went over to the parking lot next to the Essex Street pub where someone spray painted T&K on a brick wall and got some shots there, then walked down to the Griffiss Art Studios a little further down Essex. They have awesome garage doors which are painted with all different sorts of things like Popsicles.
My good friend Whitney is working on becoming a professional photographer and we were her magical 1st experiment into taking pictures professionally with people. So far we only have 2 pictures to look at but they are pretty awesome thus far. Check out Whitney's Blog here she is working on a syllabus that she created and our pictures were part of that. Thanks WHIT!!!!
Kirk and Tracie's Magical BBQ Wedding
Tracie and Kirk met at Gabriel's Gate which is an awesome bar in the Allentown neighborhood in Buffalo. Fast forward 2 years and on Kirk's 30th birthday they become engaged at the 3 sisters island right near Niagara Falls. We will be getting married on July 30th 2011.

Engagement Story
Saturday March 26, 2011 was my 30th Birthday. Tracie came over early in the morning and cooked me a great breakfast in bed, then we weren't quite sure what we were going to do for the rest of the day. I said why don't we go to Niagara Falls and she said OK. I think she knew something was up but we had plans to go to Gabriel's Gate (the place where we met) that evening so I think she thought I was gonna pop the question there. We went to Goat Island State Park (not the most romantic name) but a beautiful place and then went out to the furthest island out into the rapids right before Niagara Falls. We had Smith who is her dog with us and I got down on one knee and asked her if she would marry me. She said.....wait for it.....YES! So, in the end I gave myself an amazing Birthday Gift, Tracie!
We decided that it is really important to have our family and friends at the wedding and Tracie's brother Todd is going to Afghanistan in the late Fall with the Air Force for a year so we figured lets do this thing and take the plunge. With all of that said, Tracie and I are incredibly excited about having our wedding which is going to be held Saturday July 30, 2011.
